Following the success of The Next Girl, Commissioning Editor, Helen Jenner, has signed a new deal with crime author, Carla Kovach. Three books in the Gina Harte series will publish in 2019 and 2020.

Helen says,

I am so excited to be working with Carla Kovach again. Her first two books have been so well received, particularly The Next Girl, which sat at the top of the UK iBooks charts for five weeks. And that really is testament to the world Carla has created for Detective Gina Harte. A clever mix of police procedural and psychological thriller, Carla’s books are tightly plotted with brilliantly shocking twists.

Carla says

I’m absolutely thrilled to receive a further three book deal with Bookouture! The past year has been one of the most amazing years of my life and I’m keen to get writing another three crime novels. And in even more great news, Helen has also signed a new three book deal with D.K. Hood. Set in the dangerous fictional town of Black Rock Falls, all three books will continue the Kane and Alton series, with books scheduled for 2019 and 2020.
