We are delighted to share the fabulous news that Commissioning Editor Jennifer Hunt has acquired two gripping women’s fiction novels by Lauren Westwood, previously published by Aria. The deal for World English rights was made via Anna Power at Johnson & Alcock.

The first novel, out in Autumn 2019, is a dark and emotional story about the fractured relationship between a mother and her daughter. As Skye Turner is forced to return to her isolated cliff-edge village to care for her mother, she faces a devastating lie about the twin sister she lost the day she left and all the small town residents that have been complicit in covering it up.

Jennifer said,

Lauren is an incredibly compelling storyteller, I have long admired her complex characters and clever plots and these books are addictive page-turners. She’s taken everything she knows about strong characters and atmospheric settings and added something a little bit darker, upping the tension and suspense and creating her most captivating novels to date.

Lauren added,

I am very grateful for this opportunity to take my career to the next level and reach a wider audience for my books. I look forward to this new collaboration and hope that readers enjoy the darker edge to my work.

We do hope you will join us on Facebook and Twitter to celebrate.
