Bord said:

We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue building the US audience for his much-loved and million-copy bestselling Jessica Daniel series. We are also very excited to launch the Andrew Hunter series in the US. Kerry has the rare ability to write brilliantly across a range of genres; whether it’s a detective series, an emotional tear-jerker, or a psychological thriller. Furthermore, Kerry has always had an innovative and very smart approach to his publishing and Bookouture are incredibly proud to be a part of that.

The three new Jessica Daniel novels will take the series to fifteen books, all of which are published by Bookouture in the US. Wilkinson plans to self-publish the three new titles in the UK.

Wilkinson said:

I’m very grateful to be working in such an inventive way. This deal will allow me to do my own thing in my biggest market with the Jessica and Andrew series, while also giving me the opportunity to work with a talented and conscientious team. I think it says a lot about Bookouture that we’ve been able to come to such a fresh and unconventional arrangement.

Alongside Marius Gabriel, Wilkinson this year became the first man to win an RNA award in the organisation’s 58-year history. That was for his Bookouture-published novel Ten Birthdays.

His third psychological thriller, Last Night, is published this week by Bookouture.
