Kathryn Taussig promoted to head new team at Bookouture
We’re SUPER EXCITED to share the news that Kathryn Taussig has been promoted to the role of Publishing Director at Bookouture, and will take on responsibility for recruiting and leading the new US-focused publishing team.
Taussig, originally from California, joined Bookouture as Associate Publisher from Quercus in August 2017, and has since then acquired a number of bestsellers for the digital imprint, including Lucy Dawson, Jill Childs, and Debbie Viggiano.
At the beginning of this year, Bookouture announced its plans to establish a third editorial team. The new team will publish commercial fiction, but will be tasked with diversifying the list, with a particular focus on the US market.
Taussig will start in her new role on 23 April, and will report to Publisher Jenny Geras, who said of the promotion,
Kathryn has made a huge impact on Bookouture since she joined us. She is an outstanding publisher, manager and entrepreneur and I know that she and her new team will achieve great things for Bookouture.
Kathryn Taussig said,
I am absolutely thrilled to be stepping into this role. I have learned a lot during my time at Bookouture and I find the way we publish – author and reader-focused and data-driven – so inspiring. The US is already a huge territory for us, but there’s so much more to be achieved there still and I’m excited to be given the chance to expand our global readership.
