Taussig will report to Publishing Director Jenny Geras.

Kathryn Taussig joined Quercus in 2011 from Susanna Lea Associates, and moved from her first role in the Rights department to Editorial, where she was promoted from Editorial Assistant to Commissioning Editor, and then Senior Commissioning Editor working on the Fiction list. Her list there includes digital bestsellers Linda Green, Joanna Bolouri, Tracy Rees and Cate Woods.

Jenny Geras said:

I’m absolutely delighted to have Kathryn joining the team and I know that she will be a perfect match for Bookouture. She has a brilliant eye for commercial talent, and a great track record of publishing digital fiction creatively.

Kathryn Taussig said:

I have been lucky to have worked at Quercus, where I have always been encouraged to experiment and push myself creatively. The prospect of joining the Bookouture team, which has set the industry standard for savvy digital publishing, is incredibly exciting. I have always marveled at the passion and intelligence they bring to their commercial fiction publishing, and I’m so pleased to now have the chance to become a part of it.

Kathryn Taussig will start her new role on 7 August, and joins Bookouture’s second editorial team which Jenny Geras left Cornerstone to establish at the beginning of this year. Taussig joins Commissioning Editors Jessie Botterill and Helen Jenner, and Publishing Assistant Jennifer Hunt in that team.

We’d love you to join in our big warm welcome to Kathryn over on Facebook and Twitter.
