Summary

Dressed in a sage green bridesmaid dress, and smiling for pictures, Holly is the happiest she’s ever been. Hours later, Holly is dead.

People love to hate Holly Long. Smart, beautiful, and a woman who men find it hard to say no to, she’s the town’s most gossiped-about resident.

Now Holly’s body lies in her hotel room, strangled at her best friend’s wedding party. And the gossip has stopped, because nobody wants to look like they did it.

When police search Holly’s immaculate apartment, amongst her stylish furnishings and expensive jewellery, they discover a different side to Holly. Orderly and precise, she wasn’t the chaotic party girl everyone thought her to be. In fact, Holly was a planner, and her next plan was to come out and tell her biggest secret - something she had been hiding for months, something that had the potential to ruin the lives of more than one wedding guest.

There are plenty of people who might have wanted to kill Holly, but only one who has finally made good on their promise.

A crime thriller with an ending you will never see coming, this is the latest gripping novel from best-selling author Carla Kovach. If you like Angela Marsons, Cara Hunter, and Clare Mackintosh, you’ll love Her Last Mistake.

ANOTHER AMAZING BOOK

What can i say about all of the DI Gina Harte series of books written by Carla Kovach ..

Each one has you hooked from start to finish and this again was not a let down .. Infact I had no clue till the very very end which when a detective book can do that , then you just know its good ..

I like to keep guessing and see how Gina and her team work through things .. go through issues she has in her private life , which I think any mother can understand ..

Please keep these books coming Carla .. If I could give each star rating 10/10 I would .. but for me its the full 5 stars all the way

Brilliant

I’ve listened to all the Gina Harte series and this was another brilliant listen. I didn’t want it to end.

Carla Kovach draws you in and puts in lots of red herrings so you never know who is the killer is. We’ve also got the ongoing background story of Gina Harte which is intriguing.

I’d also like to say how great the narrator Alison Campbell is at doing her accents.

Can’t wait until the Autumn for the next instalment x

Not my favorite out of the ‘Gina Harte series’

I’ve listened to these books from the first one and have to say this was my least favourite. I find they get less interesting the more she writes! I absolutely loved the first and second book. Now I find that I’m getting tired of listening to Ginas ‘troubled relationship’ with her daughter and her ‘on/off’ relationship with Briggs! It’s kinda getting boring!!!! Having said all that I will listen to the final book and see what it’s like but this story just didn’t do it for me! Found it too mundane!

It became really good

This book started well, then I felt like it dragged for a while. I was wrong though. It was merely covering what it needed to before it became really gripping right up to the very satisfying ending.
