I thoroughly enjoyed this book, until about half way through. My rating for the book lowered, because nothing exciting was happening. The characters were kinda just going through the motions, then it all changed. Towards the end, when the truth all comes out, I was super surprised! Very unexpected, and gave the story an even more interesting twist, and also got a 4 star rating because the ending was so good and something I wasn't prepared for. If you like surprises, then you will enjoy this book.

Absolutely gripped to "The Daughter" so much so that i read it all within one Sunday! As with all Lucy Dawson books this was an easy read, that had me in tears throughout the first few chapters, out of all of Lucy's books I think this has to be my favourite so far, can not wait for "White Lies" to be published in April! Fully recommended all of Lucy Dawson's gripping novels!!

What an amazing book this was. It was seriously good. I had never read anything by this author and was truly amazed at what a good storyteller she is. A very sad story but also tense, creepy and very emotional. Can't wait to read more books by her.
