About this ebook

‘I did something terrible Grace. I hope you can forgive me…’

Grace hasn't been the same since the death of her best friend Charlie. She is haunted by Charlie's last words, and in a bid for answers, opens an old memory box of Charlie's. It soon becomes clear there was a lot she didn't know about her best friend.

When Grace starts a campaign to find Charlie's father, Anna, a girl claiming to be Charlie's sister steps forward. For Grace, finding Anna is like finding a new family, and soon Anna has made herself very comfortable in Grace and boyfriend Dan's home.

But something isn't right. Things disappear, Dan's acting strangely and Grace is sure that someone is following her. Is it all in Grace's mind? Or as she gets closer to discovering the truth about both Charlie and Anna, is Grace in terrible danger?

There was nothing she could have done to save Charlie... or was there?

A compelling, gripping psychological thriller perfect for fans of The Girl on the Train, I Let You Go and The Girl With No Past.

Enjoyed the book, however I wouldn't say the twist is something you don't see coming. I'm a big fan of mystery/thriller novels and was hoping this one would catch me by surprise however at about 100 pages in you can see what direction the book is going in. There were still a few unexpected twists and turns that I appreciated but I was a little irritated that the protagonist, Grace was unable to see something that seemed so obvious to me.

Eh, I was skeptical when I saw the price. However, I still decided to give it a chance due to it having pretty decent reviews. I really hate books that are in first person, just a preference that I have. For me I can visualize better in third person. Non the less I continued because it was only a few dollars. I felt a good chunk was typical Hollywood crazy vengeful chick cliche. I skimmed to the end which was a bit surprising but I wasn't totally floored.

This was a good book! A few bits were predictable but the ending... did not see that coming. I will say this, I could not put this book down and needed/wanted to finish it quickly as it kept you enthralled with the story line. Great read if you have an afternoon available and need some light reading!!
