When Louise receives an invitation to her old friend Amy’s birthday weekend in a cottage next to the woods near their old college campus, a chill runs down her spine.

Fifteen years ago, Hannah walked into those same woods and never came back. Her death destroyed her friends. They’ve not met as a group since. Until now.

As the party gets underway, it becomes clear her friends knew more than Louise did about what happened to Hannah. The secret she knew that could ruin someone. The bad break-up. The threatening texts she'd been receiving. Perhaps it’s time for Louise to admit to herself that maybe someone wanted Hannah gone – and that maybe that’s why Amy has brought them all back together.

When a game of truth or dare is proposed, the question arises: how far will someone go to keep their darkest secret buried?

A gripping and addictive psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages, for fans of Gillian Flynn, Teresa Driscoll and Ruth Ware.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I kept telling myself, "if this is the big twist, I've had it figured out and that would be lame." Well, this book took the obvious twist and twisted that and the ending was perfect. The suspense all-throughout made it extremely hard to put this book down and the writing style as well as a lack of any errors made it a very smooth read. I think this is the first NetGalley ARC that I have read that didn't have any mistakes that I picked up, so I have to give props for that!

The Birthday Weekend is an entertaining read that will keep you turning the pages. A reunion of 4 women is about to take place in a locale where the 5th member of their group met her untimely death. Not surprisingly you just know this wont go well . There are always secrets . Secrets have a way of getting out. What really happened to Hannah? Who is hiding the biggest secret of all? It is always a fun read to try and figure it out. I quite enjoyed The Birthday Weekend and will certainly check out Lesley Sanderson's other books.

Absolutely brilliant. IT is probably one of the best thrillers I have ever read. It had it all, it was fast paced, creepy, unnerving. A very enjoyable, unputdownable book. I have read all of Leslie's books and they are all incredibly good but this one was truly in a league of its own. A must read for lovers of thrillers.
