About this ebook

When we were young, Sarah and I did a terrible thing – but it was only me who paid the price. Now, just when I thought no one from my old life would ever find me, a note is slid under my door: I haven’t forgotten. I haven’t forgiven. FOUND YOU.

My best friend Sarah and I used to spend all our time in a place we called the Doll House. It was just an old, abandoned cottage in the woods behind our house but it was heaven to us. Until one of our games went wrong. And someone ended up dead.

It was an accident, or at least Sarah told me it was. But when I tried to tell the police that I wasn’t involved, they didn’t believe me. When the Doll House Girls were splashed across the newspapers, it was my face they showed under the headlines. I’m the one who stood trial.

Now, twenty years on, I’ve made a new life with a new identity. I have a wonderful husband, Carl, and Jacob, our adorable son. Despite everything in my past, I’m happy.

Then the first note arrives. FOUND YOU. Soon other threats start coming, and the person behind them is clear they’d be willing to hurt my family – to hurt Jacob – to get to me. I know who they are. And I know what they’re capable of. The other doll… The girl who got away with murder.

A totally addictive page-turner packed with heart-stopping twists, if you love Lisa Jewell, Rachel Abbott and The Silent Patient you’ll love I’ll Never Tell.

I’ll never tell by Casey Kelleher is the first book from the author I have read, and I am surprised how good this was. Alessia is a happily married to Carl and they have one son Jacob. Carl is always working so Alessia spends time on her own. When one evening a brick is chucked through the window with a note on it that sends chills down Alessia spine and brings back memories that have long since buried and wants to forget. When Alessia was a child the called Emma- Jayne and incident happened which changed her life for ever and ended up in a mental institution for six years. She hasn’t told her husband what happened all those years ago and when other things start happening Carl thinks that Alessia is having a breakdown until things come out it starts to come clear. Thank you Bookoutre and Netgalley for a copy of Casey Kelleher’s latest novel. This is a great page turner from the first page and kept me guessing what will happen next. It has a great intense story line and well-developed characters. It’s one of them book that you think you have worked out the plot and then you get a big surprise. I loved this. It kept me on my toes throughout. I can’t wait to read some of the authors other works. 5 stars from me.

Twists abound in this domestic/psychological thriller. In the dual time-line, "then" is twenty years ago and "now" is 2018. Then: when 12 year old Emma-Jayne and her friend Sarah discover an abandoned cottage behind Emma-Jayne's house, they plan to make it their playhouse, but an "accident" there tears them apart and changes their lives forever. Now: Emma-Jayne now goes by Alessia. Her picture-perfect life as a wife and mother starts to unravel the night someone throws a brick, with a note attached that says: FOUND YOU, through her living room window. When other incidents follow, Alessia tries to avoid telling her husband about her past, but she is worried Sarah has found her and wants to hurt her and/or her family. For the most part, I liked the characters, although I always have a problem with characters who do stupid things because they are trying to hide their past from their spouse. I also had a problem with the author's version of grammar, but decided to excuse it as representing the way most people probably think (in incomplete sentences). 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I was very impressed with this story. I did not want to stop listening. There were several twists that came along that had me going "ohhh, that makes sense." Then more evidence would be added to make me think again. I loved the intertwining past and present as we got to know Alessia and her battles. The ending brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this story, and I really recommend the audiobook as Daphne Kouma's narration made it more compelling to keep listening. I received this audiobook from Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
