At Bookouture, we’re BIG fans of crime and thriller writing.

Both our Publishing Director, Claire Bord, and MD, Oliver Rhodes have worked with some very successful authors in the genre, from Alex Kava to Scott Mariani, Erica Spindler to Jacqui Rose.  So, we’re delighted to announce that we’re going to be building a crime and thriller side to the Bookouture list – and have two great additional pieces of news, including our first acquisition.

Firstly, Keshini Naidoo is going to be joining the Bookouture team as Senior Commissioning Editor – with a focus on crime and thriller titles. Keshini is tasked with finding the very best homegrown and international crime writers for Bookouture and said of the move:

‘I’m excited about the prospect of unearthing some fresh talent and eager to build on my experience of working with eBook bestsellers at Avon. The digital landscape offers a unique opportunity for nimble, innovative publishing and I can’t wait to start building a stable of exciting new authors at Bookouture.’

Claire Bord, Publishing Director here at Bookouture commented:

‘There’s some incredible unpublished crime and thriller writers, and, having worked with Keshini at Avon, she is the perfect person to discover and nurture that talent. With the smart digital processes and publishing experience that we have in place I’m very confident that we’ll be able to enjoy the same level of global success in crime and thriller as we have done with our existing authors.’

First acquisition

Keshini has already made her first acquisition, signing debut novelist Angela Marsons in a four-book global rights deal. ‘I’ve admired Angela’s writing for some time, so I am delighted to be accompanying her on her journey to publication. Her DI Kim Stone series has a complicated and wholly engaging female detective at its heart. It’s utterly gripping, and the Black Country setting is keenly delineated. We are thrilled that Silent Scream will be the first Bookouture crime and thriller novel – to be published in early 2015.’

Please join us in welcoming both Keshini and Angela to the Bookouture team![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][mk_divider style=”double_dot” divider_width=”full_width” margin_top=”20″ margin_bottom=”20″][mk_fancy_title tag_name=”h2″ style=”true” color=”#393836″ size=”14″ font_weight=”inhert” letter_spacing=”0″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”18″ font_family=”none” align=”left”]Full press release[/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”true” align=”left” margin_bottom=”0″]
