Bookouture signs new contracts with authors MacDonald, Thorne and Jenkins
We are absolutely delighted to announce that new contracts have been signed with authors Dee MacDonald, Jessica Thorne and Victoria Jenkins.
Bookouture is delighted to announce the acquisition of three more novels from bestselling author Dee MacDonald. Commissioning Editor Lizzie Brien agreed a World All Languages deal, including audio, with Amanda Preston at LBA Literary Agency for two cosy crime mysteries and one women’s fiction novel.
Lizzie says,
‘I couldn’t be happier to be adding more Dee MacDonald titles to our list! Her brilliant new Scottish cosy crime series launched last year and her detective Ally McKinley is already a firm reader favourite. I’m also absolutely thrilled to have more women’s fiction coming from Dee. Readers love her warm, funny and relatable characters, and this new novel will be no exception!’
Dee says,
‘Again, I’m thrilled to continue working with Lizzie Brien and the great team at Bookouture, and to write some more Ally McKinley cosy crimes. And for fans of my women’s fiction who write asking me about what happened next for Connie, watch this space!’

We are also thrilled to announce the signing of a one-book deal for a gothic romance from author Jessica Thorne. Commissioning Editor Natalie Edwards acquired World English Language rights from Sallyanne Sweeney at Mulcahy Sweeney Associates Ltd. The book will publish on 9 January 2026 and is everything you could want in a gothic novel.
Natalie says,

Finally, we are delighted to announce a new contract with author Victoria Jenkins. Publisher Laura Deacon acquired World All Language rights, including audio and Film and TV, for three psychological thrillers to be published in 2026. The first book will publish in January 2026.
