The publisher acquired World English rights from Hannah Sheppard at DHH Literary Agency. Keris has previously written YA and teen fiction published by both Hot Key and Orchard Books.
Commissioning Editor Abigail Fenton said of the deal,
Keris’s writing is fresh and incredibly funny, and her characters are so relatable they practically walk off the page. I am delighted that she is turning her talents to women’s fiction, and will be so proud to publish If You Could See Me Now.
Keris Stainton responded,
I’ve admired Bookouture for a while – they’re such a dynamic and inspiring company – and I’m thrilled to be joining them for this new and exciting stage in my writing career.
Hannah Sheppard added,
It’s exciting to see Keris venture in to a new market, and Bookouture, with their impressive track record, is the perfect home to help achieve success.
If You Could See Me Now will be published in August 2017, with the second novel following in December.
