The first book in the D.C.I. Erika Foster series, The Girl in the Ice, has sold over half a million copies since its release in February 2016 and was a No.1 Kindle bestseller in the US and No.2 bestseller in the UK. The second book in the series, The Night Stalker, has already sold 60,000 copies on preorders alone and launches on 2nd June.

Claire Bord, Publishing Director at Bookouture said of the deal:

Robert is an extraordinary writer and in Erika Foster has created a character that readers are completely hooked on – the 4,000 + rave reviews on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com are a testament to that. Securing another four books with Robert means that we can keep delivering the next hotly-awaited instalment in the series to his rapidly growly fanbase. The Bookouture team are incredibly excited about continuing to build Robert as an international global superstar of crime fiction.

Robert commented:

It’s been the most rewarding experience to be published by Bookouture. I never dreamed that my debut crime thriller would sell over half a million copies in its first three months, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to continue developing my crime novels with their fantastic team.

As well as hitting the top of the charts in the UK and US, The Girl in the Ice was also a No.1 bestseller in Canada, Australia and the Netherlands, and a Top 100 bestseller in France, Spain and India. Translation deals have already been secured in Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, including a major six-figure deal in Germany. Rights are handled by Lorella Belli at LBLA.

Robert’s next book in the Erika Foster series, The Night Stalker, will be released on 2nd June and is already in the Amazon UK top 50.
