Jessica Thorne has also written award-winning fiction under the names Ruth Frances Long and R. F. Long.
The first book, The Queen’s Wing, is a compelling story about a young woman, Bel, whose life is changed when a surprise attack lands her father on the throne. In order to secure her father’s tenuous reign, Bel must travel to a distant land to marry its widowed young ruler, Conleith. But Bel’s new home is less than welcoming, and assassination attempts, treason and mystery will threaten her at every turn. It will publish in November 2018, with the second book to follow in 2019.
Jessica Thorne says,
I’m delighted to be joining the innovative Bookouture team and to head off on this exciting new adventure. I’ve loved fantasy, science fiction and romance all my life so getting to combine them in these stories and to find a publisher with such a great vision is absolutely brilliant.
Kathryn Taussig says,
I just adored The Queen’s Wing from the first page – and I knew our readers were going to love it too. Bel is such a strong and empathetic protagonist, I found myself rooting for her every step of the way. I can’t wait to work with Jessica and Sallyanne to bring this book to a big international audience.
