Bookouture sign new contracts with B P Walter and Emma Tallon

Bookouture are excited to announce the acquisition of addictive thrillers from authors B P Walter and Emma Tallon, both publishing in spring 2026.

Bookouture are thrilled to announce a second, one-book deal with B P Walter, the bestselling author of eight psychological thrillers. The Handsome Stranger will publish in May 2026, following his Christmas crime novel The Winter Visitor next month. Executive Publisher Ruth Tross acquired World English rights from Jo Swainson of the Hardman & Swainson agency.

Ruth Tross says,

‘I’m delighted to have another book coming from the supremely talented B P Walter in 2026. THE HANDSOME STRANGER is about the consequences of an act of kindness – a brilliantly twisty story of love, family and revenge. I can’t wait to share it with readers!’

B P Walter says,

‘I’m delighted that The Handsome Stranger – my tenth thriller as B P Walter, and twelfth book overall – has found such a wonderful home at Bookouture. Working with Ruth and the whole team on my Christmas thrillers has been a total joy, and I’m so pleased to add a new strand to my publishing with them. I’m very excited for this novel to go out into the world next spring.’

Bookouture are also delighted to announce that Associate Publisher Helen Jenner has acquired World All Languages, plus audio and Film & TV for another book in the Capello Family crime thriller series from author Emma Tallon, publishing in April 2026.

Helen Jenner says,

‘I’m delighted to have signed Emma Tallon for another book in her thrilling Capello Family series. Emma is a true master of gangland crime and her readers are loving the Capellos. I can’t wait for them to see what she has in store in this next instalment.’

Emma Tallon says,

‘I’ve always loved working with Helen and am as excited as ever to get started on this next book with her.’
