Commissioning Editor Christina Demosthenous acquired World English Language rights for two romantic comedies from Alice Saunders of LAW Literary Agents. Sophie Ranald is an established self-published author whose previous books, including It Would be Wrong to Steal My Sister’s Boyfriend (Wouldn’t It?) and A Groom with a View, were Kindle bestsellers.
Sorry Not Sorry is a funny, fresh and feel-good read about twenty-something Charlotte who decides to live her best life and embrace her inner bad girl. It will publish in February 2019, followed by a second rom-com in June 2019.

I have long been a fan of Sophie Ranald, so I can’t quite believe my luck that I’ll now get to publish her. I believe that Bookouture is the perfect place to take Sophie’s publishing to the next level and I can’t wait for the exciting times ahead. Her divine rom-coms are smart, edgy and genuinely hilarious – and I think Sorry Not Sorry might just be her best yet.

Joining Bookouture really is a dream come true for me. I’m a huge admirer of their agile, forward-looking publishing model and the way they work with authors to make their books and careers the best they can be.
