Associate Publisher Isobel Akenhead acquired World rights in three novels, set in the fictional rural Irish town of Cross Beg, and introducing a charismatic new police detective in Finnegan Beck who’s struggling to adjust to small-town life after an unexpected demotion from the Dublin police. But then a teenage girl’s body is found… and he finds himself unable to stop himself getting involved.

Bookouture will publish in February 2019 followed by the second and third novels later in 2019.

Isobel Akenhead said,

Occasionally you read a debut so powerful and so assured that you can’t believe it’s the author’s first. The characters leap off the page, the rural Irish setting is so evocative, and the story so gripping and unexpected that readers will not be able to put it down. It’s one not to miss.

Michael Scanlon said,

It’s great to get this opportunity and I’d like to thank Isobel and the team at Bookouture for believing in my work. I’m nervous and excited all at the same time and hope people will like my book, that’s what’s most important to me.

It would be lovely if you were able to join us on Facebook and Twitter to celebrate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
