Later this year we will be launching an adult contemporary romance series by international bestselling author Monica James.
Bookouture’s Publishing Director Claire Bord has acquired World English Language rights in two adult contemporary romance novels by Monica James, from Madeleine Milburn at the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency.
Bord says,
we know this is a genre with a huge readership but it’s about finding the right series with really strong compelling characters. I knew, the minute I picked up Monica’s book that I wanted to sign her.
The first in the series, Addicted to Sin introduces New Yorker Dr. Dixon Mathews who will certainly give Christian Grey a run for his money. This is a sassy, slick and sexy fiction which we think has the potential to be huge.
Monica James lives in Melbourne, Australia and is the bestselling author of the I Surrender series which topped the Kindle charts in the UK, Australia, Canada and the US. To date, Milburn has sold translation rights in France, Germany, Israel and Portugal.
Bookouture will publish Addicted to Sin in September 2015 following by the second book in the series, Driven to Sin in Spring 2016.
