We are thrilled to share the news that Bookouture and Associate Publisher Claire Simmonds has acquired world all language rights for three books in a brand-new series from crime author Carolyn Arnold. The first will publish in early 2025.
Claire said,
‘I couldn’t be more delighted to be working with Carolyn on this brand-new series. It’s a joy to see Carolyn expand her crime writing, and I can guarantee these stories are full of hooks and twists that will have readers on the edge of their seat. Sandra Vos is one of the most exciting new characters I’ve met in a long time, and I am itching to introduce her to Carolyn’s readers in 2025!’
Carolyn said,
‘I am thrilled by the prospect of bringing readers an explosive new crime fiction series with another strong female lead in Special Agent Sandra Vos. Working as part of the FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit, these books will shine a fresh and exciting spotlight on another branch of law enforcement. I look forward to working with Claire Simmonds and Bookouture to build this series into a bestseller readers will love.’
We are also excited to announce that Commissioning Editor Susannah Hamilton has acquired another psychological thriller from bestselling, award-winning Elisabeth Carpenter, author of 99 Red Balloons.
Bookouture has acquired world all languages rights to a new darkly gripping psychological thriller this author, including audio, TV and film. The novel, which centres on a woman who’s supposedly dead first husband starts sending messages on the eve of her second wedding threatening to return, will publish in February 2025.
Susannah said,
‘I have loved working with Elisabeth on her brilliant, incredibly intense and fantastically plotted thrillers, and am delighted that we will be working on another one together. Her incredible pacing, devilish twists and darkly realistic characters are second to none! I can’t wait for readers to get their hands on her new novel.’
Elisabeth said,
‘I’m so excited to be working with Susannah and the team on my third novel for Bookouture – everyone has been a dream to work with! Susannah’s insight and guidance has been absolutely brilliant – I couldn’t ask for more. I love writing psychological thrillers and I really hope readers enjoy the next one: a tense thriller set in the beautiful Lake District where, of course, nothing is what it seems!’
