Bookouture are thrilled to announce that Commissioning Editor Natalie Edwards has acquired World All Language rights (including audio) for a WW2 historical saga series from author Amanda Lees. The novel, acquired from Lisa Moylett at CMM Agency, will publish in 2025.

Natalie says,

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Amanda on this new book. Amanda packs so much in her historical fiction, both to entertain and inform, and her writing is so rich and evocative. This next book is yet another testament to her ability to draw you into her wonderful stories, and I know readers are going to love this addictive novel when they get their hands on it!

Amanda says,

‘I am overjoyed to be writing another book for Bookouture, especially as this one takes my WW2 spy thrillers to a whole new level with a dual timeline story that encompasses everything from love to murder and myth along with true adventures, set in the mean streets of Cairo where anything could happen and often did. It’s wonderful to be working again with such a creative and talented team who bring their own magic to publishing my books. I can’t wait for readers to meet my new characters and to try and unravel the mysteries at the heart of the book before they do.’

We are also thrilled to share the news that Commissioning Editor Natalie Edwards has acquired World All Language rights for three emotional and heart-warming books by author Sue Roberts. The first two gorgeous books will publish in 2025, with the third stunning novel following in 2026.

Natalie says,

‘I am absolutely over the moon to have three more books coming from Sue from next year. Sue’s writing always has the power to transport readers in place and time, and as well a new Greek summer read and cosy Christmas, we have a heart-wrenching and tear-jerking women’s fiction novel. I know readers are going to love them all!

Sue says,

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be continuing my writing journey with Natalie and the wonderful team at Bookouture. I am also thrilled that my publisher is keen to publish a women’s fiction novel, in addition to my usual summer beach reads. I am excited to see what lies ahead, and hope that readers will love my future books.’

Lastly, we are delighted to announce the acquisition of two more novels in the Mercy McCarthy cozy mystery series by Lucy Connelly, set in the Irish village of Shamrock Cove. Publisher Ruth Tross did the deal via Jill Marsal of the Marsal Lyon Literary Agency.

Ruth says,

‘We published the first book in the series, An Irish Bookshop Murder, in August, and it has been such a hit with readers who can’t get enough of twins Mercy and Lizzie, their dogged detective sidekick Mr. Poe, and the beautiful – if occasionally deadly – seaside village Shamrock Cove. I’m thrilled we will have more puzzling mysteries full of Irish charm coming in 2025!

Lucy says,

‘I’m so excited that I get to hang out with Mercy and Lizzie and their amazing friends some more. I’m grateful to Bookouture for this opportunity to write more mysteries in their world and to work with my amazing editor Ruth, and the team there.

Jill says,

‘I’m so excited Lucy Connelly’s terrific Mercy McCarthy cozy series will have additional books. Shamrock Cove and its characters are so much fun, and Lucy has some terrific new adventures in store for Mercy and Lizzie.
