Bookouture re-sign contracts with historical fiction authors Stuart, Midwood and Nealon
We are delighted to announce that Bookouture has re-signed contracts with historical fiction authors Stuart, Midwood and Nealon.
Bookouture has acquired five WW2 historical fiction titles from bestselling author Anna Stuart. Publishing Director Natasha Harding struck a World English Languages rights deal with Kate Shaw from The Shaw Agency for these new novels.
Natasha says,
‘I’m over-the-moon to be publishing more of Anna Stuart’s emotional, brilliantly researched and utterly page-turning WW2 historical fiction books. We’ve seen huge success across ebook, audio and paperback publishing for The Midwife of Auschwitz and I can’t wait to share these gripping new stories with readers. Watch this space!’
Anna says,
‘I’m delighted to be signing to Bookouture for another five World War Two novels. My fabulous editor Natasha Harding and the dedicated, professional, passionate team at Bookouture are a total pleasure to work with, and I’m very much looking forward to the exciting new projects we have planned.’
Shaw says,
‘It is my absolute pleasure to have negotiated this new five book deal for Anna Stuart with her editor at Bookouture Natasha Harding. I can’t wait for readers to laugh, weep and gasp at more impeccably-researched, heartbreaking WW2 stories by Anna. I’m grateful to Bookouture for their terrific publishing of all Anna’s novels across all formats, particularly The Midwife of Auschwitz and The Midwife of Berlin.’
We’re very excited to announce that we will be publishing three more World War Two page-turners by international bestseller Ellie Midwood. Associate Publisher Claire Simmonds acquired World All Languages rights, including audio, Film & TV.
Claire says,
‘Working with Ellie on her incredible novels is an editor’s dream. I’m forever in awe at how stunning her prose is – always reminding the reader about the sheer strength and beauty of the human spirit, even in the darkest of times. These new books are no exception, and will be every bit as compelling and inspirational. I cannot wait to publish them, and for her readers to discover and adore them.’
Ellie says,
‘I am thrilled to have re-signed for three novels with my esteemed publisher, Bookouture, and to continue this partnership with my extraordinary editor Claire. The World War II era, a time of tremendous turmoil, bravery, and sacrifice, has always held a profound fascination for me. Each of my upcoming novels will pay tribute to this epoch by exploring unique, often untold, facets of that time. The opportunity to tell these stories is a privilege I don’t take lightly. I am eager to bring these tales to life and share them with all of my readers.’
We’re also delighted to announce a 3-book standalone deal with author Gosia Nealon.
Natalie says,
‘I am so excited to have 3 more stunning World War 2 historical fiction books from Gosia, publishing from late summer 2024. Her compelling writing, inspiring characters and stunning hooks in these next books will bring tears to your eyes, break your heart, and completely sweep you away. I cannot wait to get Gosia’s next beautiful novels into readers’ hands.‘
Gosia says,
‘I’m so happy to continue with the exceptional team at Bookouture for three more WW2 novels. Working with my brilliant and passionate editor, Natalie Edwards, is a dream come true. I can’t wait to share my new characters and stories!’
