We’re delighted to announce that Associate Publisher Jennifer Hunt has acquired world rights to two more historical novels from award-winning author Ann Bennett. The start of a series, the books will follow the incredible story of one woman’s resistance against the Nazis, and her lifelong attempts to reunite women with children stolen from them as part of the Lebensborn programme.

Jennifer says,

‘Ann’s writing is always full of life; she has broken my heart with her emotional tales of orphan children many times, but she always pieces it back together with a stunning, uplifting ending. I couldn’t be more excited for the potential of this new series, and to meet the women and children she’ll reunite in these books.’

Ann says,

‘I’m proud and delighted to be signing up with Bookouture for two more WW2 historical fiction novels. It’s a joy to be published by them. Jennifer is a brilliant editor, full of insight and imagination, and I love the way she embraces the characters and stories with such passion. I’m really looking forward to working with her again, bringing these ideas to life and telling these ultimately uplifting stories from the darkest of times.’

We are also delighted to announce the acquisition of two new Irish-set women’s fiction novels from bestselling author and leading journalist Ann O’Loughlin. Commissioning editor Harriet Wade acquired World Rights from Jenny Brown at Jenny Brown Associates. The first book will publish in April 2024.

Harriet says,

‘Ann is an extraordinary author who knows just how to tug on your heartstrings to create a glorious and emotional story. We couldn’t be more excited to continue to work with her on her exceptional books, and we cannot wait for her many loyal readers to be swept away by these heartfelt and powerful stories.’

Ann says,

‘I am delighted to continue with the dynamic publishing team at Bookouture for two more novels. I can promise my readers more uplifting stories on the theme of family, friendship, secrets and how women support each other through the worst of times.’
