Bookouture re-sign contracts with Wingate, Baldwin and Harper

Bookouture are delighted to announce that new contracts have been signed with authors Marty Wingate, Carey Baldwin and Kristin Harper.

Bookouture are thrilled to announce the acquisition of two novels in a new historical fiction series from Marty Wingate. Commissioning Editor Rhianna Louise brokered a World All Languages deal with Christina Hogrebe and Casey Conniff at Jane Rotrosen Agency.

Rhianna says,

‘I’m delighted to have acquired two wonderful new novels from USA Today bestseller Marty Wingate. Readers have adored her fabulous 1920s cozy crime series, with Murder of a Suffragette publishing this September and pre-orders soaring. Now Marty has conjured up a stunning World War Two series and I can’t wait to publish it. When Lady Louisa Brightford converts her gorgeous old English countryside mansion into a home for evacuees and orphans, her life is forever changed by recently orphaned little Gracie, in a way she could never have imagined. The first book, The House for Lost Children, will publish in Autumn 2025 and it will be perfect for fans of Lisa Wingate, Jean Grainger and Diney Costeloe, or for any readers who love beautiful historical novels that tear your heart apart and then stitch it back together again.

Marty says,

‘I’m thrilled to be writing this story of heartbreak and love set in the midst of a time that was filled with fear and uncertainty. Thanks so much to Bookouture for the opportunity!

We are also delighted to share the news that we have acquired a psychological thriller from bestselling author Carey Baldwin. Commissioning Editor Natalie Edwards acquired World All Language rights to this new book, including film and TV. The novel will be published in 2025.

Natalie says,

‘I am so pleased to be bringing more addictive novels from Carey to the Bookouture list! I know her fans will be hooked on this new novel, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.

Carey says,

‘I’m on top of the world! I’m thrilled to be working, again, with the superstar team at Bookouture and my amazing editor Natalie! Her brilliant insights into character, pacing and plot help me tame my stories into taut, twisty thrillers that will keep you flipping the pages late into the night. I cannot wait to share my latest psychological thriller with readers. If you love relatable (but devious!) characters and loads of surprises, Not My Family is perfect for you!

Finally, we are beyond excited to announce that Publishing Director Ellen Gleeson struck a World All Languages deal, including audio, film and TV, for two more titles in the romantic women’s fiction Dune Island series from Kristin Harper. The first novel, set at an inn next to an isolated lighthouse, will publish in spring 2025.

Ellen says,

‘Dune Island is one of my favourite places to escape to, with beautiful beaches and ocean views. I am so honoured that Kristin has trusted me and Bookouture with two more of her stunning reads. All her fans are very lucky to have more books in the works, and I can’t wait to grow her audience.

Kristin says,

‘I feel deeply honored that readers enjoy my Dune Island books, and incredibly privileged to have Ellen as my editor and Bookouture as my publisher. I know I can count on their support and expertise on every level, and I can’t wait to add two more books to the series!
