We’re clucking with excitement over the signing of two new authors to our expanding crime list in three book deals, direct with authors Frances Vick and Robin Roughley.
Frances Vick’s psychological thriller, Stay With You, will be published in March 2017, another psychological thriller will follow in July, and a third in 2018. Whippersnapper, the first in Robin Roughley’s DS Claire Hammond series, will be published in January 2017, the second in May and a third in September.
Commissioning Editor Natalie Butlin said:
Frances’ Stay With You gripped me from the opening sentence. I was blown away by Frances’ writing, her jump-off-the-page characters and dark, twisty plot. Whippersnapper has left me hungry for the next book. Robin’s protagonist, Claire Hammond, is a brilliant detective – sharp, tenacious and with a gut-wrenching mystery in her own past that will have readers everywhere absolutely hooked.

I’m thrilled to have joined the Bookouture team for three books. These guys really know what they’re doing – they’re amazingly creative and experienced and it will be wonderful to be able to reach wider audience with their support!

Anyone who writes or loves a cracking read will be aware of Bookouture’s reputation for producing fantastic fiction. So to be offered a three book deal writing the Claire Hammond crime series is both thrilling and exciting. Writing is often a solitary existence so to have Bookouture’s support and expertise is a wonderful opportunity and I can’t wait to work with the team in producing a series that will mesmerise the reader.
We know you’ll join us with the celebrations and welcoming Frances and Robin to the Bookouture family over on Facebook and Twitter.
Update: Robin Roughley’s DS Claire Hammond series will no longer be published by Bookouture, but you will still be able to read the novels, which will be released by Bloodhound Books.
