We are delighted to announce that Bookouture has acquired two new historical novels set in World War II.

Commissioning Editor Nina Winters has acquired World All Language Rights plus audio for two sweeping and heartbreaking UK-set World War II novels by Julie Hartley. The first of these will publish in September 2024 and the second in February 2025. Inspired by true historical events, these books will be Hartley’s first publications with Bookouture.

Nina said,

As soon as I read the proposal for Julie’s utterly gripping books I knew I was working with an incredibly talented author with a keen eye for detail and a passion for impeccable research. Julie’s writing is immersive, pacey and packed with heart and action. I can’t wait for the for the world to discover these gripping, page-turning reads.’

Julie added,

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be working on these two books with my editor Nina, and with the entire Bookouture team. Human stories set against the dramatic backdrop of World War II have long been of enormous interest to me. I completed the first of the two stories just days ago, and I can’t wait to share it with readers in September.’
