Bookouture acquire more books from bestselling authors Phifer and Croft

Bookouture are thrilled to announce that new contracts have been signed with bestselling authors Helen Phifer and Kathryn Croft.

Kathryn Croft

We are excited to announce that Associate Publisher Jennifer Hunt has acquired World All Language rights to the sequel to Helen Phifer’s bestselling fantasy novel The Vanishing Bookstore. A UK top 50 bestseller, The Vanishing Bookstore has accumulated a huge new audience for the already prolific writer, generating 2.6 million KU reads in just over two months, with trade paperbacks to follow from Bookouture in the UK and Grand Central in the US.

Jennifer says,

‘I knew this book was going to find a loyal following; it’s rich in magical history, gorgeously visual, and follows an impossibly eclectic family in Salem that completely draw you in. It’s totally unputdownable. And Helen’s plans for the sequel are exciting indeed. She’s taking us back in time again, to discover more about the English sisters, and delve into a vintage emporium where we’ll meet a new strong female protagonist readers will never forget.’

Helen says,

‘I am thrilled to be working with my fabulous editor Jennifer Hunt and writing another book featuring the English women set in and around beautiful Salem. I had so much fun writing The Vanishing Bookstore, to be able to return to that world and write more is a dream come true and I’m so excited.’

We are also delighted to announce that we will be publishing The Christmas Party, an audio-first novella, from Kathryn Croft. Associate Publisher Lydia Vassar-Smith acquired ebook and print rights from Madeleine Milburn at The Madeleine Milburn Agency.

Lydia says,

The Christmas Party is a complete page-turner of a locked room mystery full of atmosphere and intrigue. Readers will be hooked in, and dying to find out what happened to the little girl who went missing from the Christmas party…’

Kathryn says,

I’m thrilled that Bookouture will be bringing this novella to ebook and paperback, and hope that readers will love reading it as much as audio book listeners have enjoyed listening to it.’
