We are delighted to announce that we have re-signed a contract with historical fiction author Catherine Hokin. Commissioning Editor Harriet Wade has acquired world all language rights for three Second World War novels.

Harriet says,

‘I am thrilled to be publishing more from Catherine, who is such a vivid and evocative historical fiction writer. She has such a talent for creating characters readers will fall in love with again and again, as well as such immense skill in bringing historical situations to life on the page. I know her fans as well as many new readers will be delighted to get their hands on these new stories.’

Catherine says,

‘I’m still pinching myself that this summer saw the publication of my tenth novel with Bookouture, so it’s an absolute delight that there will be more stories to come. World War Two and the Cold War, particularly from a German perspective, remain my passion and Bookouture is the best home for my work – I can’t wait to start working on the next set of ideas with Harriet.

We are also thrilled to share the news that Commissioning Editor Natalie Edwards has acquired World English Language rights (including audio) for a new enchanting and mystical novel from Natalie Meg Evans. The author has previously published ten historical fiction novels with Bookouture. The novel will publish in September 2026.

Natalie Edwards says,

‘I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Natalie on this new book. Natalie’s writing is so rich and evocative, and she breathes so much life into her work. She draws you into her wonderful stories, and Natalie has done it yet again in this new atmospheric, magical world she has built in this new addictive and supernatural novel.

Natalie Meg Evans says,

‘I am reaching into new storytelling realms, exploring the world beyond the ordinary, creating a modern-day narrator who is confronting the age-old struggle between good and evil. We need stories more than ever and those involving the metaphysical and the liminal are enjoying wider appeal. It’s a great pleasure to me to weave a different kind of tale alongside the historical novels that my writing career with Bookouture is founded on.
