Alison James

Bestselling author Alison James has topped the charts in the UK, the USA and Australia. She has also been shortlisted for the McIlvanney crime fiction prize.

After graduating from university she worked as a journalist, copywriter and TV storyliner. Once her two children were at school, she took a post-graduate degree in law and worked for three years as a paralegal in the criminal justice system. It was this experience that inspired her to start writing police procedurals and crime-led thrillers.
