Ashleigh Scott joined Bookouture as Digital Marketing and Campaigns Director from Cambridge University Press, where she spent over a decade leading on international campaigns and bringing innovation to their marketing strategy.
Scott will report to Digital Communications Director Alex Crow, who said,
‘Ashleigh is an exceptional marketer, a strategic thinker and a talented people manager. She will bring drive, expertise and creativity to our marketing team and I look forward to her continuing to improve and expand on our industry-leading digital marketing.’
Ashleigh Scott said,
‘I’m so delighted to have joined Bookouture and to be a part of the team leading the way with digital publishing. It’s clear to see the fantastic culture the leadership team has created here, with innovation at its heart.’
Also in the communications team, Jess Readett has been promoted to the role of Head of Publicity and Campaigns after first joining the publisher as a Publicity Executive in 2021. Readett has spearheaded campaigns for commercial brands such as Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst and Angela Marsons and will report into Ashleigh Scott.
Alba Proko has also been promoted to Audio Director after overseeing the incredible year-on-year growth of the publisher’s audio list and expanding its translation audiobook programme.
The new hires and promotions come following another successful year of growth for the publisher, which recently expanded its in-house translations publishing to include both Spain and the Netherlands and launched PageOne, its online writing academy with a focus on commercial fiction.
